The Galaxy S22 series is Samsung’s most recent collection of flagship smartphones, with three new models at the pinnacle of the company’s non-foldable phone lineup.

While the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are much business as usual – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing – the S22 Ultra is a bit more radical, with a new look (and features) primarily influenced by Samsung’s now-defunct Galaxy Note line.

With the three phones now available for pre-order, here’s all you need to know about each Galaxy S22 variant.

However, there is a slight delay in receiving the phones. In the United States, it’s not that bad: all three models will be on sale on February 25, just a few weeks after their first release.
In some other markets, the wait is lengthier. In the United Kingdom, for example, although the S22 Ultra is available from February 25th, the S22 and S22+ will be available on March 11th.

What is the price of the new Galaxy S22?

While many expected Samsung to hike phone pricing this year, the prices of the S22 series are mostly the same as the S21. Here’s how the models work:

What are the specifications and design elements of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series?
There’s a lot new in the three phones, as well as a lot of changes between them, so we’re splitting everything down by model to make things easy.
If you’d rather see (or listen) than read, we’ve broken out the differences between all three phones in this edition of our monthly podcast Fast Charge:
The design is identical to last year’s S21, with a familiar form and nearly the same camera configuration. The main difference this year is that the phone’s back is now comprised of glass rather than plastic – specifically, Samsung-exclusive Gorilla Glass Victus+.

One thing we’d hoped for was the prospect of customised colours for the S22, comparable to the Bespoke Edition Galaxy Z Flip 3 possibilities. There’s no indication of this yet, but if it’s successful, Samsung may extend this service – but not for a few months after the S22’s release.

The front panel features a 6.1in AMOLED display, which is somewhat smaller than last year’s model. Other than that, it’s comparable, with an FHD+ resolution and capability for dynamic refresh rate scaling ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is embedded into the display, as expected.

The S22 – and other S22 phones – will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in select territories (including the US), while Europe and other regions will have Samsung’s own Exynos 2200. Both are 4nm processors that employ the Armv9 architecture and are intended to produce performance that is generally equivalent. The Exynos provides a few more graphics features, like ray tracing, owing to AMD support, although it’s unclear how much of these will be supported by the S22.

Whichever version of the phone you choose, it will come with 8GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 128GB or 256GB.
